That is absolutely wonderful, Scottie. I rejoice in the Lord with you. May God use you to His glory. And, I praise Him for using the material on this site. I feel my heart is bent towards the lowly people, wanting to identity with them, hearing their problems and where possible defend or fight for them especially when they are being oppressed by those higher than them. What spiritual gift is this and how do I exercise it? Someone with that gift usually finds oneself wanting to spend time with them and help alleviate their distress through practical deeds of compassion and kindness.
Whatever, God uses the whole of who we are to steer us in the way we should serve.
Let me suggest you first become familiar with the gifts I mentioned. As you do this, be praying that God would lay on your heart specifically how you might use the gift s.
The above is more general. You will undoubtedly need to narrow it down some. Researching possible opportunities through your church or organizations in your area could be a starting point. Maybe God will want you to get involved in ministry outside your locale. Begin with what you are able to do and let God move you beyond. Keep praying about it and God will start opening doors. Hi i recently did a test and i told me that i have the gift of insight.
What exactly is insight? Is it different from discerning?
Science And Spirituality: 5 Insights Into Spiritual Truths
The Bible does not actually use the term insight for any of the spiritual gifts it specifically lists. Probably the test you took used an interpretive name. The gifts listed in this post are those that seem to most exhibit insight when you look at the definition of the original Greek word used in the Bible discernment, knowledge, wisdom. Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices. It is an all inclusive word for sin referring to general wickedness and baseness.
The Scriptures are filled with exhortations to do away with malice. And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Messiah also has forgiven you. It denotes dishonesty and falsehood. But Saul, who was also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fixed his gaze upon him, and said, You who are full of all deceit and fraud, you son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, will you not cease to make crooked the straight ways of the Lord? It refers to insincerity and pretense. The word describes any behavior that is not genuine with what one says they believe.

Accompanying envy are feelings of resentment, grudges, bitterness and conflict. It has in it the idea of gossip and backbiting. The removal of hindering vices must be followed by active efforts to promote spiritual growth. Peter says that just like newborn babies need milk, believers need the Word of God. This should be our desire no matter how old we are in the Lord. This is not what Peter has reference too. He is merely talking about the desire believers should have for it.
But, the Bible does make it clear that there comes a time when we graduate from milk to meat. Indeed, even now you are not yet able. For everyone who partakes only of milk is not accustomed to the word of righteousness, for he is a babe. This is a command for believers to strongly desire or crave something.
We have this same type of longing in other areas of our life, we also need to have it for the Bible. This same word is used several times in Scripture. Peter commands believers to desire the Word of God.
The one who desires it will read it, study it, meditate on it and spend a lot of time in it. The believer who desires the Word, will not neglect the Word of God. Without a steady intake of the Word, believers will not grow. True growth is something which is done by the Holy Spirit.
He takes the Word that we feed upon and empowers it in our lives to bring about growth and maturity. As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Messiah, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love.
What does spiritual growth consist of?
Science And Spirituality: 5 Insights Into Spiritual Truths - Look4ward
How can we measure to see if we are growing spiritually? Spiritual growth consists of an increase of spiritual light — a discerning of spiritual truth. This light enables us to see God more clearly in His attributes and works. When there is less light in a room, only large objects and obvious clutter can be discerned. When sun shines its rays brightly into a room, we can see in those rays a multitude of dust particles which previously were not visible.
