Canary in the Courtroom is a must read for anyone who wants to know what it is like to go up against chemical companies who first victimize the victim by poisoning them then victimize them again when they get into the courtroom. It is an eye opening read about how government protects huge companies and ties the hands of government offices like the EPA.
This book is a must read for anyone who wants to provide healthy homes for their family and pets. If you do not yet know how dangerous some of the chemicals are in your home, then it is time to open your eyes to potential dangerous chemicals in your home and the relationship these chemicals have to chronic illnesses.

Jessie MacLeod is one strong and courageous woman. To have been dealt such a blow to her health and way of life and still manage to fight for what is right shows her strength. While a different path took me to where she is, our lives were turned upside down and inside out. I had a difficult time putting down the book. I know what chemicals can do based on my own experience but learned even more because of Ms.
MacLeod's research into her exposure. I hope this book will alert the public to what is being pushed on the unsuspecting individual and touted as "safe". I never questioned what I was putting in or on my body until it became impossible for me to function with so many products that were once used in my every day life. MacLeod for telling this story and making us aware of what we are doing to ourselves. She fought a tough battle and refused to give up.
I am reading on Kindle. One person found this helpful. It keeps you glued to the pages. I couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book.

This book has a few problems with repetition in the beginning as the author justifies writing an autobiography in third person. Once you get into the courtroom scenes, though, you are hooked. This story is all the more riveting because it is true. This well-written book will make you cheer for "the little guy" or gal in this case and then make you run to your cupboards to start reading labels. You won't regret it. Canary in the Courtroom is a book that is hard to put down.
MacLeod has separated fact from fiction and exposed holes in several programs designed to protect the public from harmful chemicals. The book is a treatise on how individuals are lead to believe in the safety of chemicals and how one person fought for the truth to be told. For the sake of future generations health, lets hope we can learn through Ms.

This book is one that you know you should read, but are a little afraid of the awareness you might gain from it. After all, life can be little more complicated when we actually have knowledge about the unseen dangers in our every day life.
Jessie McLeod makes it easy, she did the research and then presents her well written experiences in a way that keeps you reading to the end. What you get is not only new knowledge, but hope.
