Two kids on the run from a very scary present come across two adults who can't quite escape their past. They're four people in need of a miracle, and sometimes the miracles in life are the very people whose paths you cross.

This movie was a heart-tugger with a great message: Sometimes miracles are the people who touch our lives in ways we never expect. The acting is solid, with the main character Gabe leading the way. He is so believable, especially in the scenes with the psychologist. The storyline is compelling and timely, with so many broken families and abused children in our society today. The characters are so genuine and real. This is a movie made for the whole family. And while the theme is generally what most folks would consider Christian, there is no Bible-thumping or overt effort to convert the viewer to any particular religion.

Another sweet tale set in the interconnected world of Rosebridge As I've said before with this author, there's nothing out of the ordinary with the romances but they're nicely constructed with usually loveable characters and a string sense of world building. There's perhaps an element of surface to this one which doesn't really address the issue of Mark's PTSD in the long term but it's also not just magicked away either. Jesse was a real sweetie who had a dream he was working hard to fulfil and I liked them together. Jan 26, J rated it it was ok Shelves: Skipped and skimmed my way through this. Full of stupid miscommunications and very unneeded hesitation on one of the MC's part about pursuing a permanent relationship because he has PTSD over and over again.

Nov 16, Aelfwina rated it did not like it Shelves: Maudlin, sentimental, one-dimensional characters one of whom might have been better written as a woman in an MF romance , and then the "are you kidding me? Oh, and timing is veeeery fluid in this one. It is steamy without being overloaded or too less interaction. The chemistry between Jesse and Mark is there from the beginning, it is sweet and charming. I laughed out so loud several times, the humor is great, the character witty and very pleasant. The two men start their relationship out of a friendship and Jesse is believing Mark is straight and not interested in him.

With the first person narration you get an insight and so the reader knew things before Mark or Jesse know them. I give this book 4. Aug 23, Susan rated it it was amazing. This is a very well written story of one man's first discovery of his attraction to another man. Mark has never been attracted to men, but when he meets Jesse, he can't seem to get the man out of his mind. What starts as a friendship soon becomes much more, by with the baggage each man carries, they both must shed the past in order to move forward.

The characters are well developed and the storyline flows from the pages. Put this book on your must read list. Mar 31, Amber Fueston rated it really liked it.

Yes, there was angst in the book, but not because Mark is conflicted over his feelings for Jesse. PTSD and mean ex's do the job just fine. While there were plenty of steamy sexy scenes to keep us panting this was a very sweet story. Jesse and Mark compliment each other very well.

The secondary characters were likable and interesting too. Jan 24, Denise GremoryKohta rated it it was amazing. This book is so good! There is so much I love about this book. The focus was more on his emotional turmoil because of it.

Another thing I thought was a strong point was Jesse's personal growth. Better way to explain that but I don't want to put in any spoilers. I will say I want to go to that Inn. The description sounds amazing! Sex scenes were for the most part smooth, except for their first time together!
