I enjoyed the book, found it to be a very easy and for me a page turner. Read the book in a day. The background provided on Cooch at times seemed to be sufficient, but at times left me wanting to know more. Some of what happened to him seems far fetched, but possible. I can't wait for the second book in the series to appear. I'm new to this genre of book and am looking for more of this type to read. Aug 19, Dorothy Girard rated it it was amazing. Lots and lots of action and suspense at every turn.

Alex Cuchulain has a very interesting background and family, that is well explained in the book - really loved that part about the book, especially when Alex gets together with his grandfather. Aug 26, d f conklin mcculloch rated it it was amazing. Cook's book reads easily weaving together the impact of a young man growing into adulthood with the story of new age spycraft. Sep 03, Cindy rated it liked it. Fun - over macho, super dude book. Is first in series. Bill Gates had the second one in the series on his list of reads so I thought I would start with 1.

Dec 29, Eugene E. Doms rated it really liked it. New and interesting character. I will be interested to see how the storyline develops. I hope to see new stories but details of his personal history revealed. Mar 18, Michael Wood rated it really liked it. After training in the Marines and CIA, Cooch gets to freelance as "a patriotic assassin " under orders.

In his above-ground life, he is a financial analyst and venture capitalist. It seems like he is looking for a good woman The plot unfolds logically, there is constant action, and the characters seem both interesting and authentic. Apr 12, Alan Marston rated it really liked it.

An unusual name for anyone, but for a young man employed by an almost clandestine American Security Agency, it is even more strange. His father is a decorated veteran who is seriously disabled. Cooch himself is a little bit of a freak of nature being very strong — in fact very, very strong, and a match for any other physical specimen who might approach him.

That's getting to si-fi and paranormal for the rest of the realism. As a former Spec Op's Marine, I like some of the small unit tactics the author uses - interesting. The Cooch series is a good read, I highly recommend it. An interesting cast of characters is involved in stopping Iran from using an atomic weapon to devastate Israel. A former marine - CIA operative who happens to be a Muslim scholar and businessman is in Iran with a plan to aid in regime change.

His plan includes thoughts on the education of the masses and the co-operation of the different sects of Islam. Good character development coupled with a great story make this well worth your time.

It is one of the best reads I have found lately. The third in the series did not disappoint. Well thought out theme with a very real concept that fits very closely with current world events. Complex characters that react just like real people do. Looking forward to the next in the series. Just finished the 3rd in the series and just like the other 2 volumes, I hated the endings!

Of the over 70 books I have read this year avg 1 a week, some are only a few chapters if not well-written, but most follow the same theme with great authors , the Cooch Adventures have been the most exciting and attention holding that I have encountered in several years Hoping there are going to be other volumes.
